We had an appointment scheduled 2 weeks in advance for Los Agaves to cater for my wedding. I showed up to the appointment with my fiancee after driving 2 hours from Bellingham on Memorial Day Weekend (ick traffic) and they weren't there. In fact, they had changed locations and were at another event! The rude staff didn't even tell us they had made these changes. I was not pleased at ALL.

Question Topic: How to Maintain Wedding Dress to Be Beautiful As Yesterday
Maybe the wedding is the most beautiful thing for a woman in her lifetime, the same as own the “witness”—wedding dress! How to deal with your wedding dress after wedding? That is a question! Keep for a good memory? Or leave down to next generation? No matter how do you choose, what you should do well is to maintain the wedding dress to be “beautiful as yesterday”.

Here are some tips to help you maintain wedding gown that you cannot miss:

Step 1: To Know The Material of The Wedding Dress

Don’t forget to ask about what the material of wedding dress is when you purchase. Knowing the material absolutely will help you during maintain process. For example, lace material, especially the lace that is used for bridal gowns, is difficult to clean without ruining. If cleaned with harsh chemicals or not retain the same softness and beauty the lace bridal gown was purchased for.

Step 2: Wedding Dress Cleaning

First, before washing the garment, remove surface dust and dirt by brushing with a very soft brush or cloth. When washing use a basin that will accommodate the textile laid flat.

Next, fill the basin with 20o C to 38o C water, and allow the item to soak for 10 minutes. If the dress is very dirty, soak it a second time in clean water. Change the water and add one teaspoon of mild detergent per litre of water. Wash the dress a second time or until the washing water remains clean. Never rub or squeeze the dress.

Finally, rinse the textile several times, holding the corners of the towel to lift it in and out of the basin between rinses. Continue rinsing until all of the detergent is rinsed out.

Step 3: Wedding Dress Drying

The dress should be “line” dried, but not by hanging it on a hanger. The weight of the wet dress could damage the dress. One way to line dry it safely is by placing a fold-up drying rack

Question Topic: Weddings in Woodinville Bridal Showcase
I'm thinking about going to the Weddings in Woodinville bridal show on Sunday Jan. 29th. I've heard it's amazing - you get the chance to meet with wedding planners, vendors, taste catered food and sample local wines while touring 7 of wine country's venues. Has anyone gone in previous years?

Question Topic: Yummy cake
Hey all --

Can someone recommend a good cake place? We've done a few tastings already, an although the cakes looked great, they all tasted kinda plain. I'm looking for something more sophisticated... not just the regular bread+sugar taste. You know what I mean?

Our friends ordered Lemon Raspberry cake from Creme de la Creme. One of the best cakes I ever had!

Question Topic: "My Little Girl" by Gene Mitchell
We were came upon your Weddding Venture website and would like to suggest another song titled "My Little Girl" by Gene Mitchell, which is specfic about Father-Daughter relationship down to walking down the isle.

The song is on iTunes (Gene Mitchell - My Little Girl), it is only 2:30 in length and when it has been performed live or by DJs, the comment is it is just the right song and song length for Father-Daughter dance.

The song also has piano/guitar sheet music available, as well as piano soundtrack for Dad to sing to.

Thank you.

We almost went with Classy Chassis Rentals (http://www.classychassisrentals.com/ourcars.html), but then decided to get just a regular limo anyway. Decided it was less stress for my future hubby that way (having to drive and all), plus we can fit all the bridesmaids and groomsmen in that limo. A Z - Dec 09 '11 at 11:38 AM

have u tried just the regular car rental place (like avis or budget)? i think you can rent a classic car there (might be even cheaper than a specialized place)? Helen - Dec 09 '11 at 11:41 AM

Do you guys have any specific recommendations on which colors complement each other within each range? Specifically, we're thinking about purple "theme" for our wedding - our wedding planner is advising to also add white and light purple as other two colors in addition to main/leading purple color. Have those worked for anyone here, or what secondary colors would usually go with purple?

Yep, several of our friends got married in Rainier Chapter House of DAR (I think it's Daughters of the American Revolution) over the past few years. It has a pretty cool entertainment area upstairs, a neat ceremony area downstars and a nice lobby and an outdoor area for the breaks. Complete wedding in one spot. Not 100% sure, but I think they might even have a complete kitchen right inside for your catering vendor to use as a staging area.
