Personally, I enjoy finding cake inspiration in the woods! I love looking at flowers and mossy things. My favorite design for a cake would be a simple white buttercream design with florals cascading around. If you're wanting some ideas to get going, I would suggest going online, browsing Instagram, creating a Pinterest board- all the things the modern age has taught us to do! I wish I could answer this with conviction, but I'm not much of a wine person. Not in the way that I don't enjoy drinking wine, but in the way that I have no idea what makes one wine better than the other. I'll just say Rose or Champagne, because who doesn't like those?
Most of our wedding cakes are made without fondant. I think people have strong opinions when it comes to the way fondant tastes and most people say they hate it. Our fondant is made in-house using marshmallows, making it super tasty than the usual packaged stuff. I like fondant designs because you are able to shape it into whatever you want! You can make ruffles, you can paint on it like a canvas, etc. It can transform a cake into looking like an actual piece of artwork. However, most fondant designs can be mimicked in buttercream as well, so no one should feel like their missing out!
You should saran wrap it tightly and then wrap in a layer of foil. That way you won't get any freezer burn!

Our tiered cakes start at $6/slice. We price our single tiered cakes as we would a birthday cake (since we make tons of those every day at the bakery year round), and are thus more affordable. This means, an alternative to one gigantic tiered cake, would be to have multiple single tiered cakes. This substantially reduces the overall price, while keeping the amount of servings where you want them. We like accommodating to a variety of different styles and budgets. We have made seven-tiered cakes to serve 250+ guests, and we have also made a 6" cake to serve 12. Every wedding is different, every couple is different- and we like it that way because it's the differences that make our job more interesting.
