Mar 20 '21 at 01:06 PMBooked this venue for a May 2020 wedding. They had to cancel because of COVID restrictions. They refused to give us any of the $9,000 we paid. They told us repeatedly we had to postpone and could not adjust the size of wedding for a lesser price. We attempted to cancel over six months prior to the wedding, and they refused. They can only host micro weddings right now, which per the website cost $3,800. Yet they insist on charging the full $9,000. I understand everyone’s hurting, and we were prepared to walk away from a significant portion of what we paid for no event at all. 1840s has refused to give us even one dollar back. While they offered to hold a micro wedding now, they insist on charging us $9000 dollars the price of the 150 wedding we obviously cannot hold now.
