Kerry Lee Doehr 9/14/2017 As a Certified Wedding Professional of 15 years based in Santa Barbara, CA, I found myself having to plan my own destination wedding elopement in Santa Fe, NM and make plans with service providers I did not know or have any relationship with in advance. We contracted Reverend Bruce based on his solid reviews all over, as well as the fact he promptly returned all emails to him, as well as offered a package and rate plan perfect for us. We wanted a "courthouse wedding" but in a non-courthouse setting. We opted for his most basic package and it was full of heart-felt words and meaningful, yet practical and efficient. There are no hidden fees or surprises with his packages and services. He's straight-up honest and fair. His deposit fee required to secure the date and his services was exceptionally reasonable and he issued an invoice and made paying it a breeze. The day of the wedding - at Hotel St. Francis , downtown Santa Fe, NM - he was on time (early, in fact- which puts a professional wedding planner and bride-to-be's mind at ease) and did an incredible performance/ceremony for us, without being too "over the top" and dominating the moment. He had the perfect balance. His words were strong and clear. He was not overly-eager to socialize or be warm -fuzzy upon his first arrival in meeting us for the first time in person (it appeared maybe he had something on his mind) prior to the ceremony, but let me tell you this: when it came time to perform the ceremony, he had an amazing presence, his words were heart-felt, clear and he ended our ceremony with a surprise "zestful" shout-out New Mexico-style! It was beyond awesome. He showed up on time, he delivered a great ceremony, and his price was incredibly reasonable. He was also exceptionally good with return correspondence in email prior to the wedding and most helpful and patient with all our questions. I'd say that's worth its weight in gold. We are so grateful to him, and as a professional in the wedding industry taking a chance on a destination wedding service provider, I can honestly say you will not be disappointed in Reverend Bruce Byers. We wish him (and all his future clientele) happy wedding days in the future years to come!

Gerald L 8/26/2015 Our wedding was a bit unusual and I am sure posed a challenge for the Rev. Bruce Byers. Drue and I made our commitments in July of 1971 and after 42 years decided it was time to "make it legal". After confirming that Rev. Byers was willing to officiate we had lots of questions. What about the venue? We wanted the ceremony in Drue's home state ofNew Mexico...but where? The Court House steps....the hotel lobby? Rev. Byers suggested the Gazebo atOldTown,Albuquerque. Brilliant! We also wanted minimal religious content (except for the blessing of the rings). Bruce was OK with that. We needed witnesses. Bruce said "I can help with that"' I thought I had written some pretty good vows that spoke to our unique situation. Rev. Bruce worked them over and made them so much better. The ceremony was held in a very public place, with Rev. Bruce, Rev. Mary-Lynne Olsen Byers and their son as participants, and some very happy and supportive tourists as our wedding guests. Rev. Bruce made the event warm, personal, and joyous. He performed his work as officiant with an obvious sincere joy and willingness to focus on our desires and needs. Our lives continue to be filled with love and laughter and the beautiful memory of the Old Town Gazebo and the beautiful Byers family that will last us as long as coherence endures. Thanks, Rev. Felicia Delgado 12/31/2018 Reverend Bruce gave us a beautiful ceremony. He was so patient due to the blizzard. Traveled to us in the snowstorm and held a heartfelt ceremony with short notice. I highly recommend him for short or long ceremonies. He adds extra sweet touches with his wording even though we had never met. Thank you so much for giving us a perfect wedding day.
