C & C Ballroom Dance is a ballroom studio serving the San Antonio area from its location on San Pedro Ave in Hill Country Village, Texas. The studio teaches Ballroom, Latin, Swing, Country Western, Rhythm, Social, and Line dancing, with a particular focus on helping engaged couples prepare a first dance for their wedding day through a mix of private lessons and group classes.
The studio was founded by David and Jennie Castro, who met as professional dance partners while both working at Arthur Murray in San Antonio. Jennie grew up in Troy, Michigan, began ballet and jazz training at age seven, and later taught ballroom dance at Arthur Murray in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan, after earning a degree in elementary education. David started his dance career at an Arthur Murray studio in Worcester, Massachusetts, before transferring back to San Antonio. When the Arthur Murray location where they worked together closed, the couple set out on their own to open C & C Ballroom Dance.
According to the studio's own materials, C & C Ballroom Dance is DVIDA certified and has won multiple Top Studio and Top Teacher awards at dance competitions. David and Jennie describe their mission as helping students, from beginners to competitive dancers, build confidence and enjoy the process of learning to dance together.
